Operational Management

Operational Management

powered by LIGHTHOUSE

Operational management is where a yacht’s daily reality is shaped. It is the space where planning meets practice, where compliance meets crew life and where good decisions quietly protect time, budgets and experience.

At Dean & Waters, operational support is fully bespoke. We work closely with owners, captains and crew to build structures that fit the way each yacht is actually used, ensuring operations are forward-looking.

At the centre of this sits LIGHTHOUSE, our in-house ISM / ISPS management platform. Developed specifically for large yachts, it brings certification, compliance, operational administration and crew documentation into one clear, central system. It allows our shore team and the yacht to work from the same live picture, strengthening transparency, accountability and communication at every level.

Operationally, we support the full rhythm of the yacht. From voyage planning, port clearance and logistics through to long-term forecasting, regulatory planning and seasonal preparation, we help shape programmes that run smoothly today and remain resilient tomorrow.

Financially, we build and oversee operational budgets, track expenditure clearly and provide real-time visibility around owner trips, cash flow and forecasting. Owner funds are protected, reporting is consistent, and decision-making is always supported by accurate, current information.

Crew sit at the heart of any successful operation. We support recruitment processes, career development, administration, and welfare, working to create both stability and longevity for a well-supported onboard environment.

Insurance placement and claims administration are managed in-house, alongside regular reporting that keeps owners informed and captains properly supported.

Each yacht is assigned a dedicated Yacht Manager, backed by our in-house operational, technical, compliance and financial specialists. This ensures continuity, familiarity and a genuinely personal level of service.
